Senior Portrait FAQs

What Is a Formal Senior Portrait?

A formal senior portrait is the traditional image used in your school’s yearbook. These portraits follow the classic drape and tux style, photographed in a clean, timeless way that meets school yearbook requirements.

All attire and backgrounds are provided on site and meet school yearbook requirements, ensuring consistency and compliance with school guidelines.

When & Where

Senior portraits will take place at Belleville High School in the Media Room from January 12–16, with appointments available between 8:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Your selected appointment time will be confirmed after booking.

Scheduling Your Session

All senior portraits must be scheduled in advance using our online booking link. Payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your appointment.

Once scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email and text message, along with a reminder 24 hours before your session.

Arrival & Check-In

Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to allow time to check in and change, if needed. Late arrivals may need to be rescheduled based on remaining availability due to the day’s schedule.

What to Wear & What's Provided

We provide all required traditional drape, tuxedo, and cap & gown attire, along with the appropriate backdrop that meets yearbook requirements.

  • Ladies: Please wear or bring a tank top or strapless top. A black drape will be provided.
  • Gentlemen: Please arrive wearing a t-shirt. A tuxedo top and tie will be provided. (Please avoid hoodies or sweatshirts.)

Students should arrive camera-ready. Personal props are not permitted.

Hair, Makeup & Grooming

Hair and makeup should be fully done prior to arrival. Due to the limited session time, additional styling should be completed before check-in.

During the Session

Our photographers will capture a series of classic, traditional poses during the session. Images will be available to view and order 2–3 weeks after the session.

How Ordering Works

There is no purchase required on portrait day. Once your yearbook photo selection deadline has passed, we will be sending out instructions through the school on how to order your portrait packages online. Print and digital package options will be available to order through our website.

What If I Miss My Appointment?

If you miss your scheduled appointment, please contact us directly or stop by the Media Room during the week of portrait sessions to reschedule. Make-up session availability is limited and based on school scheduling.

Selecting Your Yearbook Photo

After your session, your portraits will be posted online within 2–3 weeks and you will receive an email from the school with a link to your personal gallery and login instructions. From there you will review your photos and select the one you'd like to use for your yearbook by clicking the heart icon on your chosen image.

For full instructions on how to log in and make your selection, visit our Senior Portrait Yearbook Selection page.

Once yearbook selections are complete, we will be sending out information on how to order your portrait packages online.
